Meet the Artist

My name is Scottie and I create all the art for @HowDraws. I am completely self taught  and have been creating art my whole life. My main passion is sports, old cartoons, and superheros, as you can see a lot of these influences throughout my work.

I live and work in Connecticut. Growing up around big cities like New York, Philly, and Boston has helped me see how big the world really is and how I want to put Connecticut on the map. Not many big or super important things have came out of CT recently so I am trying my best to share my art with the world and continue to grow. When I am not creating art, I am playing basketball, watching movies, and chilling with my dachshund. 

Throughout all of my pieces, I try to add many references and details that make each piece personal. For example, I love adding in exact jewelry pieces that athletes may own, specific outfits/shoes (I am very big into shoes), and different pop culture references throughout. 

My main goals for my art career:

1. Design and work on an album cover for Sheck Wes

2. Work with a signature athlete and design a sneaker color way for their shoe

3. Be able to do art full time as a job 

I have been holding a paintbrush since preschool and have not looked back

No matter what is going on in my life, art is my priority and I want to be as  successful as I can be
